ACE-Certified Personal Trainer Alexandra Chipurnoi
Alexandra Chipurnoi is an experienced personal trainer who gives back to her community by organizing local walking programs. She also volunteered with the nonprofit Housatonic Child Care Center and with the mental-health platform Mindful Youth-Online. An assistant producer for The Feminist Podcast, Alexandra Chipurnoi combines her passion for women’s rights and child-focused causes as a committee member of Knock Out Abuse West, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that supports women and children affected by domestic violence.
Professionally, Alexandra Chipurnoi has maintained certification from the American Council on Fitness for more than 20 years. She specifically enjoys working with senior clients, for whom she leverages her interest in topics like in-home training and upper-body strength to improve their fitness levels. Ms. Chipurnoi can provide training to seniors with health challenges like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and chronic pain. Her expertise enables her to create workout programs that account for and help to mitigate the effects of these conditions.
Along in-home training, Alexandra Chipurnoi has worked with clients at the YMCA, Fitness Express, and Club 21. Beyond her expertise in aging, which also includes strategies for motivating older adults to exercise, she is interested in a variety of general fitness topics. Among these are movement-based strength training, building mental muscle, and the ways in which developing athleticism can benefit people in their everyday lives.
Alexandra Chipurnoi is CPR certified and holds a Bachelor of Arts in communications from Marymount College. Prior to entering college, she graduated from Marymount High School.
